Light on stage. # 3 - Intensity Course participants will master the basic concepts of electricity — current, voltage, power, and circuit design — without complex mathematics. They will become familiar with types of power cables and connectors, their construction and applications, as well as study dimming technologies ranging from traditional thyristor circuits to modern LED systems. Using equipment from ETC and Ayrton as examples, the course will demonstrate how intelligent technologies control brightness through dimming curve shaping and precise signal interpretation.
System & Workflow This course introduces the users to the L-Acoustics system approach and project workflow, giving an overview of all L-Acoustics tools and all professional roles involved. That is the prerequisite for all other product training courses.
Light on stage. #4 - Position
The session is dedicated to the internal structure of moving head fixtures. We will explore their design through the lens of classical mechanics, kinematics, and control theory — gaining an understanding of how these devices receive commands, calculate motion, and execute it in space.
Using models from Ayrton and High End Systems, we'll analyze the construction of their positioning and motion control systems. The session will conclude with hands-on practice in ETC EOS, including fixture orientation, working with Focus Palettes, and visualizing in Augment3D.
L-Acoustics System Implementation Advance your skills by learning how to implement a safe and functional L-Acoustics system and prepare it for calibration.
Light on stage. #5 - Color
This session explores how the eye perceives light, color, and contrast, and why some lighting feels vivid while others cause fatigue. We’ll look at LEE and Rosco filters in the context of LED systems, apply the HSB model to stage lighting, and examine color mixing technologies in Ayrton and ETC fixtures. The session ends with hands-on work in Augment3D using Color Palettes, effects, and scene visualization.
Soundvision This course is dedicated to Soundvision, the proprietary L-Acoustics software for 3d venue modelling and loudspeaker system design.
