About the Author

The course is based on the extensive practical experience of Mark Stavtsev, accumulated across leading theatrical and concert venues worldwide. With over 20 years of experience, he has worked at the Bolshoi Theatre, the Mayakovsky Theatre, and Crocus City Hall. His lighting design for the opera La Sonnambula was nominated for the Golden Mask Award.

In 2022–2023, he collaborated with the World Ballet Company in the United States, where he first introduced Ayrton lighting fixtures into productions of Cinderella, The Nutcracker, and Swan Lake.

Today, Mark is responsible for lighting at the Dubai Opera, works extensively with Ayrton and ETC systems, and develops the Ayrton brand in Central Asia and the Caucasus as a lead engineer at Sound Creations.
