Practical Application of Ayrton Innovations at the Concert

Highlighting Key Moments of the Performance:
The Huracán LT was perfectly suited for front lighting of the artists on stage, enhancing their performances with warm and natural light. This fixture created a comfortable and pleasing visual experience for both the audience in the hall and for video recordings. The use of a CTO filter helped to lower the color temperature, creating a warm light effect that is more appealing to the human eye and better highlights facial features.

However, the CTO can sometimes lead to an unwanted greenish tint. To address this issue, a CTP filter was used, effectively removing the green hue and adding soft pink tones. This made the lighting on the artists' faces appear more natural, vibrant, and attractive, which is especially important for capturing the atmosphere of the concert.

Dynamic Lighting Transitions:
The Khamsin S fixtures were employed to create complex and expressive intensity effects. These devices are equipped with shutter blades, each capable of completely blocking the beam. This allowed for precise light profiling and emulation of various intensity effects by altering the geometry of the beam. This approach was particularly noticeable when illuminating large stages, where it was essential to focus attention on specific elements.

To fully realize the intensity effects, the Hazer MDG Atme was utilized, creating ideal conditions for visualizing light beams.

One of the key features was the use of a heavy frost effect, which allowed for smooth and seamless gobo changes. This tool concealed the gobo change process from the audience, ensuring a continuous flow of light. Combined with dynamic lighting and smoke effects, the Khamsin S fixtures created captivating and expressive light compositions that fully engaged the audience in the atmosphere of the show.

The Bora S fixtures provided the primary wash for the stage, filling it with a base color against which the dynamic lighting appeared even more striking due to strong contrast.

The Atmosphere of a Rock Concert:

For backlighting, PAR64 fixtures with LEE #797 (Deep Purple) filters were used, highlighting the spirit of 1980s rock concerts.

Dubai Opera – The Perfect Venue for Art:

Dubai Opera, renowned for its excellent acoustics and modern infrastructure, served as an ideal venue for such an event. Plans are in place to expand the technical arsenal with 40 Ayrton fixtures, including Bora S and Domino TC Wash, which will open new possibilities for lighting shows.
