Sevara Nazarkhan and L-Acoustics L2: A Landmark Live Music Event at Humo Arena

1

From May 2 to 4, 2025, the iconic Humo Arena in Tashkent hosted the highly anticipated solo concerts of Sevara Nazarkhan — a beloved national artist and internationally acclaimed performer. The event marked a major milestone for live music in Uzbekistan, delivering a production of global scale and uncompromising quality.

Humo Arena, one of Central Asia’s largest indoor venues, has a maximum seating capacity of approximately 12,500 spectators. During all three nights of Sevara’s concerts, the venue was filled to near capacity, with attendance exceeding 95%, confirming her status as one of the region’s most cherished artists and drawing fans from across the country and beyond.

At the heart of the concert’s success was a powerful and meticulously engineered sound reinforcement system featuring the latest innovations from L-Acoustics — including the cutting-edge L2 line source array, supported by the trusted K2 and Kara systems.

Audio design: precision meets power

The main PA system consists of dual L-Acoustics L2 arrays, deployed as the primary front hangs. Thanks to their innovative design — incorporating four discrete acoustic elements in a single enclosure — the L2 delivers an exceptionally wide horizontal dispersion (110°) and unmatched SPL consistency across long throw distances. This made it possible to cover the full arena floor with crystal-clear sound, eliminating the need for additional delay towers.

L-Acoustics K2 arrays were used as side hangs, providing seamless coverage to the lateral seating sections. K2’s adjustable inter-element angles and flexible rigging options allowed for finely tuned directivity and uniform frequency response, even in the challenging acoustics of a large indoor arena.

To ensure clarity and presence in the front rows, L-Acoustics Kara elements were deployed as front-fills, providing precise reinforcement for the near-field audience.

Low-end reinforcement was handled by KS28 subwoofers, arranged in a cardioid configuration. This setup offered exceptional low-frequency control and minimized rearward propagation, reducing unwanted reflections and maintaining tight, musical bass throughout the venue.

Full Control with DiGiCo Quantum 338

Front of House duties were managed by veteran sound engineer Alexander Astakhov, who mixed the performances on a DiGiCo Quantum 338 digital console. Known for its extraordinary flexibility and pristine audio quality, the Quantum 338 offered seamless integration of Mustard processing, Spice Rack effects, and dynamic routing — enabling Alexander to faithfully capture the emotional depth and nuance of Sevara's vocal and instrumental arrangements.
