Optics and Motion: Complex Effects Without Limits 

Built on the all-new MagicDot Neo platform, MagicBlade Neo features five independent moving heads, spaced just 5 mm apart, each with continuous rotation on both pan and tilt axes. 

This architecture enables endlessly reconfigurable curtains of light, complex beam structures, dynamic vortices, and expressive volumetric effects that were previously difficult to achieve with traditional linear luminaires. 

Its innovative Short Cut function further expands the scope for building complex dynamic effects and advanced scenographic compositions. 

Each of the five heads is fitted with an individual 120 W RGB-L multi-chip LED source, paired with a high-efficiency 100 mm optic integrated into a perfect sphere. This optical architecture delivers a total luminous flux of up to 15,000 lumens, producing dense, expressive beams with exceptional visual depth. 

MagicBlade Neo offers an extended colour space and smooth blending of both pastel and saturated colours, ensuring outstanding colour repeatability with a CRI above 86. 

Each beam can switch instantly from Beam to Wash, while the 10:1 zoom ratio and wide usable range from 3° to 30° make the fixture highly versatile for concert stages, television productions, and theatrical environments. 

LiquidEffect: Hypnotic Multi-Layered Lighting Effects 

Each powerful, intensive beam is paired with Ayrton’s signature LiquidEffect™ ring, featuring 60 RGB LED sources arranged around its perimeter. 

This additional visual layer creates hypnotic multi-colour lighting effects, living halos, and dynamic vortices, transforming MagicBlade Neo from a linear light source into a fully-fledged scenographic lighting instrument. 

The result is a fixture that allows lighting designers to work across multiple visual planes simultaneously — building dense beam graphics, adding layered visual depth, and creating dynamic compositions where the central beam and LiquidEffect operate as a unified system.

MagicBlade Neo is not only a highly creative luminaire, but also a precisely engineered tool for real-world productions. 

Its injection-moulded aluminium housing is specifically designed for mixed indoor and outdoor use, including high-humidity and even saline environments, making it ideal for demanding live and architectural applications. 

A drastic reduction in aluminium part thickness, cooling optimisation, simplified lens guiding, and the integration of low-density optical components have enabled a significant weight reduction: MagicBlade Neo weighs just 32.4 kg — a major advantage for touring, rental workflows, and complex rigging structures. 

The high output of the new LED source required the implementation of a dedicated cooling system based on phase-change heat pipes, ensuring reliable performance under sustained loads and in demanding temperature conditions. 

With extended Ethernet connectivity, multiple fixtures can be combined into virtually unlimited configurations — from compact beam clusters to large-scale kinetic lighting systems for live shows and immersive multimedia environments.
