KLANG:technologies, a pioneer in immersive in-ear monitoring systems, announces the release of KOS 5.7, the latest version of its operating system compatible with all KLANG products.

With this update, monitor mixing becomes even more intuitive and flexible. New features enable highly personalized mixes and give engineers and musicians complete control over every sound source.

What is KLANG:app

KLANG:app is the core application for configuration, control, and personal monitoring within the KLANG ecosystem. It allows sound engineers and performers to manage spatial (3D) mixes, adjust instrument balance, positioning, and tone within in-ear or stage monitor systems.

 Available for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, KLANG:app can operate both locally and over the network, providing centralized control of all KLANG processors.

Key New Features

Parametric EQs
Each input channel now includes a fully adjustable parametric EQ — users can fine-tune frequency, gain, and Q-factor manually or use existing presets.
This ensures full sonic control for every signal source.

Personal Tone Filter
Each musician can now independently adjust the balance between low and high frequencies in their mix without affecting others.
This allows for truly personalized tonal shaping.

MIDI Integration with Allen & Heath dLive and Avantis
KOS 5.7 introduces advanced MIDI integration, enabling direct control of KLANG mixes and parameters from Allen & Heath dLive and Avantisconsoles.
SoftKeys and faders can now trigger scenes, switch mixes, or adjust parameters in real time.

New Navigation: STAGE & FADERS Views
The new Channel Focus function lets users quickly isolate and fine-tune any channel in the STAGE view, making it easier to control 3D positioning or channel parameters — particularly useful in large setups.

Over-the-Air Updates
Multiple KLANG processors can now be updated simultaneously via KLANG:app
The app automatically downloads, verifies, and installs firmware updates, simplifying device management and maintenance.
