1
In the realm of professional audio and multichannel recording, a plethora of tools, applications, and equipment types are available. The competition in this field is fierce.

Unquestionable Advantages of DiGiCo

The British manufacturer DiGiCo provides sound engineers, event organizers, and recording studio owners with the confidence to make informed choices.

DiGiCo is a line of professional audio tools and digital mixing consoles designed using patented innovative technologies and in response to the demand for acoustic concert systems.

Since 2002, DiGiCo has been producing AV equipment for industries where exceptional sound quality is paramount—such as theatrical arts, the entertainment industry, audio exhibitions, acoustics, and related scientific research.

A Brief History of the Company and Its Technology

DiGiCo traces its roots back to Soundtracs, a company founded in the early 1980s by a group of sound engineers dedicated to creating custom mixing consoles for recording studios.

The first console from Soundtracs was released in 1992, followed by the improved Virtua model in 1996, the DPC console in 1997, the DS3 in 1998, and the D4 series in 2000.

Continuing the legacy of Soundtracs, DiGiCo launched its concert mixing system, the D5 Live, utilizing the innovative software and hardware experience gained from its predecessor. The D5 Live soon became a groundbreaking product in live concert sound management.

In 2008, DiGiCo unveiled its SD series of mixing systems, built on next-generation FPGA semiconductor components and TigerSHARC DSP processors. The unique architecture of the SD series is based on the innovative Stealth Digital Processing™ technology, which serves as the foundation for many other DiGiCo mixing console lines, including the SD7, SD8, SD9, and the compact SD11.

Later, DiGiCo introduced the Stealth Core2 technology, which functionally enhanced Stealth Digital Processing™ and was integrated into the SD5cs console from the SD5 line.

The groundbreaking Quantum 7 technology, built on 7th-generation FPGA chips, significantly increases the engine's power and introduces new functionalities for managing stage sound. The unique Nodal Processing feature allows for any processing to be applied to any node in the console's AUX section, processing every send coming from the channels.

The True Solo monitoring feature helps recreate any section of the console and listen to its processed signal, streamlining configuration adjustments and enhancing control processes.

DiGiCo's Steps in the CIS

Sound Creations serves as the distributor of DiGiCo in the CIS region. We are pleased to showcase projects where DiGiCo mixing consoles have already been successfully deployed.

YASTREB SOUND company from Uzbekistan, one of the largest rental companies for stage sound and lighting equipment, acquired the Quantum 338 digital mixing console.

Another major rental company from Tashkent, "IOSIS," purchased the DiGiCo SD12 mixing console with the advanced Stealth Core 2 engine for rental purposes.

SD12 was used for sound management during the national project celebrating the 33rd Independence Day and the 100th anniversary of the Kara-Kyrgyz Autonomous Oblast, which included a memorable gala concert featuring national ensembles on the Ala-Too square in Bishkek on August 31, 2024.

The DiGiCo SD10 console manages sound quality for performances at the Alisher Navoi Opera and Ballet Theatre in Tashkent.

Conclusion

The DiGiCo brand is widely recognized around the world, including in the CIS region, and is used for organizing opera concerts, rock band tours, and performances by global pop stars.

When choosing DiGiCo, users need not seek further evidence of the equipment's reliability; it is evident wherever DiGiCo is present—success and superior sound are always assured.
