ETC has introduced Arkon, a new automated LED beam fixture from its High End Systems range, designed to produce narrow beams and dynamic stage lighting effects. The fixture is intended for concerts, festivals, television productions and other live events.
ETC Arkon delivers a light output of 10,500 lumens with a beam angle of 2.5°. The fixture features an RBL colour-mixing system, two gobo wheels, four prisms and additional LED elements integrated into its housing. Its IP54 rating makes it suitable for both indoor applications and temporary outdoor installations.
ETC Arkon is powered by a 460 W MicroLES LED engine. Its optical system provides even light distribution across the beam, ensuring consistent illumination when using gobos and prisms.
Motorised focus allows operators to adjust the sharpness of projected patterns. The narrow 2.5° beam angle enables the creation of focused light beams for stage productions.
Arkon uses an additive RBL colour-mixing system based on red, blue and lime LEDs. The colour temperature range extends from 2,000 to 10,000 K, with calibrated white settings available.
The fixture also features a colour wheel with 12 dichroic filters. In addition to individual colours, the wheel enables split-colour effects, combining two colours within a single beam.
The fixture is equipped with two gobo wheels: one featuring eight rotating patterns and another containing eleven fixed patterns. The fixed gobo wheel also includes five positions with circular apertures of different diameters, allowing further control over the beam size.
The optical system incorporates four prisms that can be combined to produce eight different effects. Two diffusion filters provide different levels of diffusion, allowing operators to adjust the sharpness of projected patterns and soften the light distribution.
The Arkon Vibes system consists of four LED strips integrated into the fixture's housing. Each strip contains 33 RGB pixels, providing a total of 132 individually controllable colour elements.
The lighting system supports colour changes, pixel-group control and preprogrammed sequences. These LED strips allow the fixture's housing to become an additional visual element in the overall stage design.
Arkon supports DMX control as well as Art-Net and sACN protocols over Ethernet. Two control modes are available: a standard 47-channel DMX mode and an extended 245-channel mode that includes control of the housing's LED elements.
The fixture features 16-bit dimming for precise intensity control. It also supports RDM, NFC configuration and wireless control via ETC Multiverse when used with optional modules.
The IP54 rating provides protection against dust ingress and splashing water. The fixture incorporates hydrophobic air filtration and technology designed to prevent condensation on optical components. Its operating temperature range is −20°C to +40°C.
ETC Arkon weighs 20.7 kg, has a maximum power consumption of 650 W and offers a rated LED source lifetime of 50,000 hours.
