What is L-ISA ?


L-ISA is a patented spatial audio technology from L-Acoustics, available exclusively on systems from this brand. It goes beyond mere sound reproduction; it models a three-dimensional soundscape where each sound is localized in space and can move dynamically.

The acoustic systems are positioned in front, to the sides, behind, above, and below the audience, creating the sensation that sound emanates not only from the stage but also "lives" around the listener.


What Makes Up the L-ISA System?


L-Acoustics systems in L-ISA configurations are built on a wide range of solutions from the brand, from compact X4i speakers to powerful L2 line arrays. The choice depends on the installation requirements.

L-ISA Studio — This software allows for the creation and editing of immersive audio content. It enables composers, sound designers, and producers to work on sound content from any computer and prepare projects for subsequent playback on-site through automatic scaling. L-ISA also supports binaural mixing, allowing content to be prepared even with headphones or for remote audiences.

L-ISA Controller — An application for real-time management of sound source placement in space. Users can move sounds across a virtual stage, define depth, width, and direction, automate movement using motion capture systems, control via OSC or MIDI, and synchronize with sound consoles (e.g., DiGiCo).

L-ISA Processor — A specialized device that processes multi-channel audio signals and distributes them across the speaker system, creating a sense of immersive presence.
