DiGiCo Quantum 112 and Quantum 225 consoles have received the PULSE update

DiGiCo has released the PULSE upgrade for its most compact digital mixing consoles in the Quantum series: the Q112 and Q225. The PULSE software upgrade increases the number of available channels and expands audio routing and processing capabilities.

Quantum 225 owners with an active PULSE package can now increase their input channel count from 96 to 120 at no additional cost thanks to the firmware already installed on their consoles. For Quantum 112 and Quantum 225 owners running the standard software configuration, the new enhanced firmware version is now available for purchase on the manufacturer's website.

The PULSE upgrade is available for both Quantum 225 and Quantum 225 DS consoles. The upgraded configuration includes:

Quantum 225 owners without the pre-installed PULSE package can upgrade to the maximum software configuration.

More Capabilities Without Replacing the Console

According to DiGiCo Managing Director Austin Freshwater, Quantum 112 and Quantum 225 PULSE users value these consoles for their portability and compact dimensions, particularly at concert venues and festivals where space is limited.

However, a compact design should not compromise a sound engineer's capabilities, audio quality, or system functionality. The new upgrades expand the operating configurations of both consoles while preserving their existing ergonomics and form factors.

For existing users, this means more channels, busses, and processing resources without the need to invest in a new mixing console.

The software upgrades are available on the DiGiCo website.
