Barco has introduced the new I65 single-chip DLP projector with a laser-phosphor light source and brightness ranging from 10,000 to 15,000 lumens. It is the second model in the I Series, designed for projects where image quality, installation flexibility, reliability and cost efficiency are key.
Barco I65 is available in 4K UHD and WUXGA resolution options. This allows the projector to be adapted to a wide range of scenarios — from corporate spaces and educational auditoriums to museums, immersive installations and multifunctional halls.
Barco I65 is available in six configurations:
I65-W10 — 10000 lumens; I65-W13 — 12500 lumens; I65-W16 — 15000 lumens.
The I65-4K10, I65-4K13 and I65-4K16 configurations support 4K UHD resolution at 60 Hz and are suitable for applications where high image detail is required. The I65-W10, I65-W13 and I65-W16 versions operate at WUXGA resolution 1920 × 1200 for projects where professional widescreen resolution is sufficient.
One of the key features of the I65 is its compact form factor. This is especially important for installations where the projector needs to be discreetly integrated into the architecture of the space, installed in a confined area, or quickly prepared for operation.
The I65 model supports ILD lenses with a wide range of throw ratios — from ultra-short-throw solutions to long-throw optics. This allows I65 to be used in rooms with different depths, ceiling heights and equipment placement requirements.
For integrators, this means greater design flexibility. A shared lens platform simplifies equipment selection, logistics, and ongoing system maintenance.
The I65 projectors run on Barco’s new Pulse Lite hardware and software platform. This streamlined solution is designed to simplify setup, control and operation of the projection system, making daily work on site easier for the technical team.
The I65 supports built-in image correction tools, including warping, edge blending, color correction, and constant light output. The projectors can also be integrated with Barco’s software tools for system setup, monitoring, and remote management.
For multi-projector installations, this is especially important: the system must not only deliver high-quality images, but also be convenient to operate on a daily basis. The simpler the startup and maintenance process, the less time is required for system preparation and content workflows.
Ready for Modern Audiovisual Infrastructures
The I65 supports an Intel SDM slot, expanding its connectivity and signal processing capabilities. This architecture simplifies the integration of the projectors into modern audiovisual infrastructures, including the transition to network-based solutions and new media signal transport standards.
For the end user, this means that the projector can be considered not as a standalone device, but as part of an integrated multimedia system — with control, monitoring, service support, and the potential for future project expansion.
The I65 is well suited for projects that require high-quality professional projection, but do not need the full feature set of the higher-end I-series solutions.
