Ayrton Unveils EagleStrike LT: A New Benchmark in Long-Range LED Followspots

Ayrton proudly announces the release of EagleStrike LT, a groundbreaking long-range LED followspot designed to meet the most demanding outdoor performance conditions. Originally developed as a bespoke signature luminaire, EagleStrike now stands as the first followspot of its kind in Ayrton’s portfolio—engineered for extreme precision, unmatched power, and next-generation automated tracking.

At the heart of EagleStrike is an oversized 270 mm front lens weighing 7.7 kg, created specifically to deliver an ultra-tight 2.8° beam. Its advanced 13-element optical system provides a 15:1 zoom ratio with a range from 2.8° to 43°, further extendable to 0.7° or 2.3° via dedicated gobo reducers. The luminaire is powered by a brand-new 1,200-watt high-efficiency LED engine, outputting 55,000 lumens at 6500 K and achieving a record-breaking over 120,000 lux at 10 metres.

EagleStrike introduces Ayrton’s fastest-ever CMY colour mixing system, matching the performance of the company’s “ultimate” series fixtures. A progressive CTO enables smooth tonal adjustment between 2900 K and 6500 K, supported by six colour filters, three CRI enhancement filters, one CTB, and a multi-colour filter.

Designed for absolute control, EagleStrike features a full-framing system with 100% field coverage and ±90° rotation, enabling precise object framing regardless of fixture orientation. Its effects engine includes two rotating gobo wheels (each with seven gobos), a 15-blade iris, a single-colour effects wheel, two Frost filters (light and heavy), and two combinable indexable prisms.

With its minimalist industrial design and fully integrated IP65 weatherproofing, EagleStrike is ready for any environment. An advanced cooling system—featuring IP68 submersible fans positioned outside the sealed housing—ensures maximum thermal efficiency. Continuous pan rotation further expands creative possibilities and facilitates the optional automated tracking spotlight mode via an integrated camera system.
